Checkout Help

You may want to print this out in landscape mode. Much of the information here will help you with other sites, as well. Consider this a keeper!

Here are some common shopping cart problems and how to overcome them. Please look here first for the solution. If you then don't find it, contact vernon@peakinet.net. E-mail is the surest way to get quick assistance.

These are roughly in the order in which you would encounter them:

Problem Solution
You clicked on "Add to Cart" and nothing happened.
Look at the very top of the page. See where it says "Shopping Cart?" Click there. Now, adjust the quantity to be what you need it to be, and click on the "Update" button. Then, click on "Checkout."
You created an account, but the system goes nowhere.
Look at the very top of the page. See where it says "Checkout"? Click there.
You clicked on "Checkout," and you keep coming back to the same screen that has your account information, order information, or whatever the &#$%! that is that keeps showing up.
Page down. See the button that says "Continue?" Click there.
You try to check out, but product information for something you haven't seen pops up.
Cool! The system is offering you a money-saving deal. You don't have to take it. If you choose "Add One to Order," you get the money-saving deal. But, you can just click "Do Not Add to Order" if you want. The choice is yours.
Why don't you have more shipping options?
Because certain items ship only certain ways. This is an effort to make it simple. And we don't hide the costs with a come-on like "free shipping." UPS does pay their drivers, and someone has to pay UPS. Shipping is never free, unless it's electronic delivery.
Why just these major credit cards and PayPal, but not e-checking or other options right on the Website?
This is the simplest way to provide secure payment for you, the shopper. If we add another method, then you'd have another form to fill out. That would be a bummer.
I selected my credit card, but nothing happens.
There's that "Continue" button thing again. Look at the bottom of the page, and click on the "Continue" button.
The system is rejecting my credit card!
Make sure you have all of your information entered in correctly.
  • Your name should appear the same way it does on your credit card, and the billing address you enter should match the billing address for your credit card.
  • Look for spaces at the end of entered information. Especially your credit card number.

But the #1 cause of this is "over limit." Please contact your credit card company if you get a credit card rejection after verifying your information.

I called and got no answer.
Sorry about that. We can be in only so many places at one time.

E-mailing us (see above) is usually the fastest way to reach someone here. If your matter is urgent, try calling again. If you leave a message, speak loudly and distinctly so we can get your name and phone number the first time.
